I have woken up early to check if a plague of locusts has invaded the kitchen. But no. All is well this morning😊
I think.😂
Yes Braveheart.....just reading back.....I do think the failed remote garage door is connected to the gnawed radiator pipe. We are catching lots of the little blighters at the moment . Fortunately none in the house but a whole orchestra in the loft.
Do you get an orchestra of mice?
Probably not but it sounds right😂
Glad all is well this morning TM, will look out for your name on the quiz
Are they any good for vary-focals (sorry spelling) as I have paid £300 for mine from specsavers and they are rubbish. I can hardly see screen on PC at work.
Go back to them! I am thrilled with mine from Specsavers. It sounds as if yours are all wrong.
Good morning.
I have had them re-done once already as I could not even ready the shop sign when I tried them on at first. I then went back as needed to take them off to watch TV. I have to have my screen as far down as it goes and bend my neck to read it. My old ones are better than my new ones, so think you are correct and I need to go back, although I am considering getting a pair just for the PC spo may try Asda for those and keep these for walking about and driving.

I was just going to post about the printer paper in Sainsbury A5 for £2.70 but see zippy has beat me to it. This is an excellent price as I have been keeping an eye on the price of it for a while as I am getting low. Not for lazy though asit needs cutting in half but I am sure none of the elite will be bothered by that knowing what a tight lot we are.
Good morning, don't have a sainsbug here but if it is A5 then that's half the size of A4 so you won't be cutting that in half, if it is A3 and need cutting I would be giving it a miss, even with a guillotine (sorry spelling), it would be hard to get it right.
"The frustrating thing for the business is that it is making a reasonable amount of cash. It's for that reason, its auditors were happy to conclude the chain is a viable going concern when it signed off its accounts in April this year despite the company's debts being worth more than its assets.
To be clear, Pizza Express is not in imminent danger of going bust. It has until 2021 before it needs to start paying back £600m to its outside creditors. (The other £500m is a loan from its Chinese owners). "
lets stick to the facts.

Why do children remember at 9.30pm that it is their friends birthday tomorrow and they need a pressie for them? Thank goodness for stashes. If I was a normal person I would have needed to do an emergency shop.
My grown up DS and DD still come home and ask me for things out of my stash when they can't find anything cheap .
Is that "free" like mine
We got them vodka from last holiday but when it was offered the gift was declined Then he laughed and said he took one at the weekend, from the stash, when he was up checking the house
Did anyone do the Prolific A longitudinal study of personality in the UK (Survey 1)at about 6pm? I did it on my phone as was still at work & when I got to the end had this which I had not noticed when I started it. The total payment for all five studies is £19.5. Note however, you will not be paid anything until you finish all five surveys. We expect this will take you between 3 to 4 hours in total.. Do they make sure you are given these other parts as the chances of me timing these right are very low due to my working full time.
think I have done the first of these £2.50 showing in my submissions, but it did say no payment until all 5 done I assumed they would send the next surveys just to us, otherwise I too have no hope of being in the right place at the right time I can only do them at home

Good morning all, cloudy one here
Glad there was just a nest of mice rather than a plague of locusts this morning TM, and at least you were not bottom in the quiz Keep going and you may well get used to it and get further towards the top
Di you know the plagues of Egypt were caused by a volcano?
I've just checked my First Direct online account and they have opened my regular saver at 5% interest. I did fear that that it would open with the new rate of 2.75% but it's ok. I applied the day before the rate changed but it took 3 days to open the account. M&S is now the only one left available paying 5%, as far as I know.
I've been getting a lot of Sainsbobs till spits this week - several £1.50 off £10 spend, 400 points with £20 spend and 3x points on next shop. All three work together Worth putting a small transaction through first if you're doing a larger one.
Morning. A few freebies on COS. Sauce at T and beef jerky and a vitamin water at S.
Yesterday I had a free Moma porridge on COS and fortunately I checked the other accounts - only 1 of the others had it as well. So yesterday we went up to mr S and got the 2 free pots.
While I was stood in the cereal aisle I spotted the jojo smoothie bowls - these were also free on COS but only from the C0-op. Ive been looking for them in various C0-ops but obviously not in the right section and not in the right C0-ops.
I also had free Upbeat blueberry on all accounts but a totally empty shelf - CS said they were due in later in the day - not worth a 10 mile trip though for just one item ...
My Mr S is a dead zone for phone signals but I had a look again at COS when we got back and the store locator for the JoJo bowls worked and the nearest and only store was the tiny one we have in the village - if I'd known that I could have diverted to it on the way home. I said no problem - if it every stops raining I will have a walk up in the morning. JoJo bowls have now gone off the list.
I then uploaded the moma porridge receipts and realised the offer was for 2 free tubs not just one They are off list as well today.
Also a free rice noodle pot thingy appeared - must have been added while we were actually in Mr S
Oh well - you cant win them all but more attention to detail is needed

I only had £1 off £10 which I thought expired, but SS till accepted it

Well done in getting in by the skin of your teeth - the rate dropped whilst we were away but at least my FD reg saver is fairly new and not due to mature until June 2020.
I've been having a sort out this week of the savings situation, post holidays and with OH hell bent retiring sooner rather than later
There are a few new accounts worth looking at - this one is apply online 2.5% variable and you can add up to £500 a month so its useful if you are doing advanced planning for major purchases late 2020 - eg child going to uni/winter holiday/Christmas/New year.

I was looking if there was anywhere else I could switch to after doing solo Lloyds. I slso have a FD account spare now they have dropped the 5%.
Noticed Barclays are offering double rewards if you switch in, and existing customers can get it too, so may do this as I’m with them for some bills anyway.
Now, do I switch the new Lloyds (so I can avoid having to transfer 1.5k per month), or get rid of the FD. 🤔
