Is anyone applying for the new Insiders campaign....Sanpellegrino?
Anyway, I did my first Coop shop to use up my 50p off fresh fruit or veg. I bought a bunch of 5 bananas.
99p
😱😱😱😱
and the discount didn't even come off. The assistant said " that happens all the time with the app it's not working" but seemed amazed when I said I'd have a refund. She said " if you just ring up, they'll sort it out for you" I said that there was no way I was going to waste 15 minutes of my time, chasing a 50p refund. A manager and 10 minutes later I got my money back.
I am extremely short sighted and require the thinnest lenses available and have nothing but praise for Asda opticians, I used to pay over £400 a pair but at A I get two pairs for a quarter of the price. They will see you alright!
Are they any good for vary-focals (sorry spelling) as I have paid £300 for mine from specsavers and they are rubbish. I can hardly see screen on PC at work.
My OH has been using Asda opticians for a few years now. Originally had separate glasses for reading and distance, but changed to varifocal last year. They were very reasonably priced, had plenty of choice and glasses were ready to collect after about a week.

Did anyone do the Prolific A longitudinal study of personality in the UK (Survey 1)at about 6pm? I did it on my phone as was still at work & when I got to the end had this which I had not noticed when I started it.
yes, I did that one about 4 o'clock. There were only 40 places initially so I thought I was lucky to get one but when I looked at the submission later they'd upped it to 290 places!

Do they send you the rest of the surveys to complete at your leisure or do you just need to be lucky and find them?

When I've had a series of surveys, I usually get an email😊
There was only me and another two people. Last week is was pandemonium. The assistant said they are looking at changes. It was bad because she came out with a huge amount of reduced items Ready to back on the shelf. but when she does them in situ it’s not so bad. I got mostly meat. Delighted with a huge bubbs beef for £2. played freezer Tetris and only had to dump a loaf.
Also got the Tmf granola. Think it was anon mentioned that today I’d the last day for buying. Thanks.
DH plundered the apple tree backing onto DS garden 25 lbs. So lots of crumbles etc over the autumn
Thanks to zippy For the thread and hope you are feeling better
mattwife and hillbern. Sending huge hugs. Hope the day looks brighter tomorrow.
Why do children remember at 9.30pm that it is their friends birthday tomorrow and they need a pressie for them? Thank goodness for stashes. If I was a normal person I would have needed to do an emergency shop.

I was just going to post about the printer paper in Sainsbury A5 for £2.70 but see zippy has beat me to it. This is an excellent price as I have been keeping an eye on the price of it for a while as I am getting low. Not for lazy though asit needs cutting in half but I am sure none of the elite will be bothered by that knowing what a tight lot we are.

My grown up DS and DD still come home and ask me for things out of my stash when they can't find anything cheap .
I'm sorry to hear some are not feeling great at the moment :-(.
Haze, what great news on your marathon place, I don't think you said, but I assume it's London? You've got loads of time to train so if you start now then you'll have a great run :-).
Carly, yes I heard it might get a bit breezy here over the weekend! My MiL is a bit of a worrier and she's been sending us typhoon updates. From tomorrow we'll be up in the mountains doing a 4 day linear walk. We'll just have to play it by ear as I don't think there's going to be a lot of wifi, and if we have to hole up somewhere for an extra night then it's no big deal.
Yesterday we went to a huge Buddhist temple in Tokyo called Senso-ji. Despite DM's encouragement I haven't got any photos to upload so please do have a quick Google search to see what it looks like, it's magnificent! The streets surrounding it are full of craft shops selling woodblock prints, pottery, fans, kimono etc etc so we spent hours just walking around. We also found some more food halls where everyone is incredibly generous with the tasters ;-). We've tried all manner of weird and wonderful foods, a lot of which I have no idea what they actually are.
In the early evening my feet were tired from so much traipsing around so when I spotted a little bar with some seats outside down an alley way I announced it was time for a little refreshment. There were no English menus so we just asked for a "beeru"...some words are easy to remember ;-). Whilst we were sat drinking our beers we noticed that EVERYONE else in the bar was drinking the same drink. It was a clear liquid in a big beer glass filled up with ice. Along with it was served a small brown bottle with brown liquid inside that people would then add, little by little into the glass. We did a bit of Googling and found that it was 'Hoppy' which is a low alcohol beer type drink. The liquid in the glass is a spirit and you just mix the two together. So we thought we'd have a go and try one, much to the delight of the barman! It had a very subtle taste and was a bit too easy to drink. So my 'quick sit down' to rest my legs turned into a bit of a longer evening than planned ;-).
Today we have the morning in Tokyo and then we're catching a train into the mountains. Tonight we're staying in a guesthouse where everyone just sleeps on tatami mats in a communal bedroom, before we set off hiking up the mountain tomorrow.
I almost forgot to say, we've been whoopsie shopping too! We stopped off at a supermarket on our way back to our apartment last night and picked up some sushi for breakfast. It was just 50% off, but it made me happy ;-).
Hugs to all that are having a crappy time, looks like a lot. Any one got any reviews on asdas specs, I've booked myself in for an appointment, hate choosing new glasses just hope they are patient with me.

I used to use Asda but this time did Specsavers. I was very impressed as they spent ages helping me choose new frames and the highest spec lenses I bought (I’m severely short sighted in one eye) are very thin and actually flat.

Go back to them! I am thrilled with mine from Specsavers. It sounds as if yours are all wrong.
Says that for me too, can anyone fill us in please, or is it over?
It wasn't a glitch, it was somebody commenting on how items stay at their reduced price in your basket even if they've gone up in the shop. Thankfully everyone who saw it thought it was a useless post!

WE went to Mt Fuji, drove up as far as allowed and then went for a walk - apparently the summit was a good 6 hours round trip and as we weren't dressed for it and it would have been dark by the time we got back we decided we had enough photos and went back to our rented log cabin for a long soak in a hot tub and some beeru. I got a 9p screener prolific on whether I am a software engineer - I knew just enough to pass the three filter out questions.
I read page 1 but the thread was deleted when I clicked through to page 2.
It was basically full of people saying how excited they were to get a GLITCH ALERT via their apps only to find out they had to have added cans of coke to their basket weeks ago to qualify.

do you have to set the alerts up. as i did not get one
presumably. I don't have any set up for the reason everyone on that thread is complaining about lol
That sounds very civilised Michaels! We won't be climbing Mt Fuji as it's outside of the official climbing season now. However we'll be climbing a few of the surrounding mountains so we should get a good view of it :-).
I have woken up early to check if a plague of locusts has invaded the kitchen. But no. All is well this morning😊
I think.😂
Yes Braveheart.....just reading back.....I do think the failed remote garage door is connected to the gnawed radiator pipe. We are catching lots of the little blighters at the moment . Fortunately none in the house but a whole orchestra in the loft.

If anyone has Prime Now.......if you search for Wine Case on the Morrison's shop, it brings up cases of 3 or 6 wines at the single bottle price........
I have received only single bottles in my order, which were refunded at full price when I complained....free wine!
